About Us

We are 501(c)3 non-profit urban farm in the heart of Oak Cliff, located next to Tyler Station. The farm began as a small community garden behind the “6 to 12” convenience store on Edgefield Avenue in Elmwood. Our one-acre lot is home to a market garden, silvopasture (mini orchard/crop) system, community compost program, playground, and event space that hosts community gatherings, dinners, and live music. We strive to do big things by thinking small, as we faithfully improve our little corner of the world. Come and see!

Mission Statement:

Elmwood Farm exists to be a space to cultivate healthy relationships between Land and Neighbor. We do this through three focus areas: 1: agricultural education, 2: farm to table food, and 3: community formation.

Our Core Values & Guiding Principles:

  • Hands-on classes and experiences that build skills and confidence (Focus areas 1 & 2)

  • Promoting conscious consumption through witnessing agricultural processes from start to finish (Focus area 1)

  • Practicing regenerative organic practices on small scale (Focus area 2)

  • Supporting local DFW producers and restaurants (Focus area 2)

  • Pursuing a waste-free mentality and habit formation (Focus areas 1 & 3)

  • Practicing gracious hospitality (Focus area 3)

  • Increasing food access and security through on-farm produce and farmers markets (Focus areas 2 & 3)

  • Promoting wholistic nutrition and healthy lifestyles through gardening know-how and kitchen confidence (Focus areas 1, 2, & 3)
